eReader Classes at WGPL

librarylogo500

The library is offering one-on-one sessions for those interested in downloading free audiobooks and eBooks from the library. If you would like to meet with a staff member you can call the library at 314.961.3784, or e-mail – jpeters@wpgl.org

Each eReader is a little different, as are the restrictions for the formats that can be downloaded. A staff member will be able to walk you through each step of the process with your device and show you how to find materials that interest you. To make sure that this process goes smoothly, we ask that you have the information you use with your device.

• Kindle: Users must have their Amazon ID and password that is associated with their device.
• Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch: Users must have their Apple ID and password associated with their device.
• NOOK tablets: Users must have their Barnes & Noble ID and password.
• NOOK Simple Touch and Classic users may wish to bring a personal laptop (if possible) used to download and transfer books to their device.

The library provides this service through OverDrive, and this service can be accessed at: http://overdrive.mlcstl.org/ There is an OverDrive app that can be used on tablets and smartphones, allowing you to browse, download and read your book directly on your device.

Each month more titles are added to the collection. It is our goal to make new and popular materials available to the public. Not all titles are available due to publisher restrictions on libraries. If you are looking for a specific book, you can recommend it for purchasing through overdrive.mlcstl.org, e-mailing reference@wgpl.org, or speaking with a library staff member.

We look forward to working with you!
